Sticking to the "teaching-centred and research-focused" policy, the College encourages its staff to advance their teaching side by side with high-level academic research. As a result, great achievements have been made in academic research. The faculty have completed one research project at the national level. Currently, the faculty are undertaking two research projects at the national level, three research projects at the provincial level, two cooperative projects with other institutions, and seventeen research projects at the college level.
Approved by the Guangdong Publication Bureau, the College publishes two academic journals, namely, Research of Foreign Languages and Arts Education and Guangdong Teachers Continuing Education.
