Department of Information Technology

A Brief Introduction

　　The Department of Information Technology of Guangdong Teachers College of Foreign Language and Arts ( GTCFLA ) , newly established in 2002, aims at fostering the practical and technical talents to serve the needs in computer era. Currently the department offers four programs, namely the Modern Education Technology Program, the PC Techniques program, the PC Techniques of Network Program, and the PC Techniques of Multimedia Program.

　　The faculty number in the department is 14, most of whom have the “Double-Qualification” certificates. With 4 associate professors, 1 doctor’s degree holder and 7 master’s degree holders, the department owns a very dynamic and active teaching staff. Besides, the department provides advanced teaching facilities. Now it has set up all kinds of practice laboratories, such as the digital circuit laboratory, network laboratory, multimedia laboratory, and the like.

　　The department emphasizes the cultivation of the students’ practical ability in actual work. Therefore, the graduates are well-received by the society and have a bright future.
